Pleaz let me know the directions to add blocks to the widget area in 5.8 in order to add social icons to the widget area ...

Hi Loic,

Where exactly are you trying to add the social icons?

Let me know :)

???

Hi there,

you can use a Block Element:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/

Create you content with blocks, we recommend the GenerateBlocks plugin to do that as it gives you full styling control.
Then select the hook: menu_bar_items

This will add the blocks in that position. On Desktop and Mobile.
If you only want them displayed on Desktop, then when you build your content place them inside a Container Block, and give the Advanced > Additional CSS Class(es) a class of: hide-on-mobile

Sorry but it is not clear. I created an element with the hook menu_bar_items and three columns but how do I add the icons? and how do I place it in the top bar and not the header?

Thanks but how to place it in the top bar (not header), pushed to the right ? I have two horizontal menus, one in the head and one in the top bar.

Make sure its the GB Buttons Block ( not the core buttons block ) and check the rest of the doc:

https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/

You will see Buttons are made of 2 x Blocks - the outer container and the individual button. Make sure you have the individual button selected.

How can I add those GB Buttons block ?
is it part of GB premium ? I have only the GB free plugin ...
I don't see any choice or possibility to load font or icons ....

OK I found them :) What confusing is that there are social icons presented in the choice of blocks ... Now I want to place them in the top bar, not the header and on the right side (at the moment it sticks to the right of the menu in the head. )

Can you share a link to your site so i can see the layout ?

I am on local, just want to assign that block to the top.
