Is it possible to add a widget to the Blog Page Header space?
It is just where I would like to have a sliding list of featured posts, headlines only to keep it short (and without images). Sliders are popular but they suck up bandwidth and would add more than I need. But, that space for the Blog Page Header is just where I could put a text widget (or some other widget if I find something better).
I’ve got something working with hooks and shortcode now. I still think being able to have a banner or scrolling bar just under the header would be useful as an add-on. It could be part of the widget space for the header. I know I can add a widget to the side of the header but I don’t like crowding anything else with my blog title and subtitle.
