I am learning how to use the Accordion feature
within GenerateBlocks. Please see “Germans so direct”:

My question:

Is it possible to set things up so that
“John’s response” is it is by default closed
… in other words the user has to open up
the block?

you can select the Accordion Item and Uncheck: Item open by default in the Block Settings:

Is it possible to create a link to a specific accordion item?

Hi there,

yes, select the Accordion Item container block, and in Advanced > HTML Anchor add your anchor eg. my-anchor-name

Then you can use that in your URL jumplink eg. https://mydomain.com/page-name/#my-anchor-name
And in doing so it will open that accordion too.

Hi John,

you would have received the link if you have Notify Me or Replies selected on a topic.

Gary, wants a jumplink so you can share that with a user or add it to a menu item, so it opens the page on that accordion item.
