about featured image in google search

Hi, the featured image on some of my pages wont show in google search.
all the featured images are 1280 x 720 px.
Why is this happpening?

whats the difference between a page that shows the image and a page that does not ?
I cant find any differences.
This started happening since 3 or 4 months ago when I changed the size of featured image. I used to set it 640 x 360 px but now 1280 x 720 px which I dont think this effect.
Can you link us some pages that shows featured images and some pages that don't show featured images?
Are you using any SEO plugins?

Checked the post which shows the image in the google result, seems the image shows in Google search result is NOT the featured image, but another image in the content area:

I'm sorry but this is unlikely a theme issue, the theme can't control what Google fetches.
Can you start a staging site, disable all plugins except GP premium to test?
If it's still like this, can you switch the theme to twenty twenty one to test?
