Hi, the about and contact pages of my website seems broken. All other pages and posts work just fine. How do i fix it?
November 25, 2021 at 4:56 am #2021214DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
go to Appearance > Elements – do you have a Header Element and a Layout Element there?
Header Element – i don’t think you require the Header Element as this is for creating a merged hero section. If so – you can delete it.
Layout Element – this is used to set the Content Width to Full Width, which is not required for all pages. Edit that and in its display rules, change the Locations to just the pages you want full width eg.

November 25, 2021 at 6:28 am #2021347SufiaI deleted the Header Element but it still doesn’t look great. I have a content layout element. In that, all posts and pages are set to 12oopx width. But I don’t think the about and contact pages are following that width. These pages are slightly wider. I don’t mind but the problem is with the height now. Why is there no space between the footer and the content on these two pages? Other pages look fine.

November 25, 2021 at 9:45 pm #2022645ElvinStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
The pages mentioned actually use the layout element settings you’ve placed. Both of them have 1200px max-width as shown here – https://share.getcloudapp.com/9ZuR6rwg
They look slightly wider because they don’t have the same content block layout as the other pages.
Example: Some of your pages use GenerateBlocks’ Container block with can make layouts a bit narrower because Container blocks can add left and right paddings.
While all pages have 1200px max-width, if some pages have 40px left and right padding, these pages will look more narrow because they effectively only have 1120px of horizontal space for content because 1200px(max-width) – 40px(left) – 40px(right) = 1120px.
These pages are slightly wider. I don’t mind but the problem is with the height now. Why is there no space between the footer and the content on these two pages? Other pages look fine.
This tends to happen on pages with empty or significantly less content. There’s not enough content height to push the footer down.
You can make the footer stick to the bottom if you want though. You can check David’s suggestion for this here 🙂 –
