    Hi.

I have a weird problem with my homepage.

I year or two ago I had someone build my homepage with Generatepress. I couldn’t figure it out myself.

If I type https://www.wildlifeartstore.com the page looks fine but sometimes I navigate back to my homepage in the menu and I get https://www.wildlifeartstore.com/home-2/

I also have a problem with the ‘course’ menu sometimes. the menu doesn’t drop down and I get a blank page.

I’d like to know what’s happening and how to fix it. It bewilders me. Can you help please?

    Thanks Kevin

    Hi there,

in Appearance > Menus edit your menu, delete the Home page item, and then re-add it.

regarding the Course menu – do you have any optimization plugins enabled ?

Im still totally confused with my settings. I added my site URL to the top menu with this link http://www.wildlifeartstore.com under the home page tab

The URL of my home page under ‘all pages’ is wildlifeartstore.com/home-2/

Ive also found my home page under Element > home page hero (hook)

Ive added this screenshot as an example of what appears sometimes. I dont know if visitors see it or if its something I am doing at the backend.

    screenshot of strange homepage

I have shortpixel and only today added the ezoic plugin to try and speed up my site (without success)

    Hi Kevin,

We think you’ve added a different Home page in your menu as opposed to the Homepage you’re using.

In Appearance > Reading, can you check what setting you have set in “Your homepage displays” and let us know?

As for your other issue with regards to drop down menu items not working, it’s often tied to caching/optimization plugins. A possible setting there may be preventing the feature from working. To test this, you’ll need to disable the caching/optmization plugins you have and see if the issue will still or will no longer exist.

Hi, I didn’t see anything under Appearance, I looked under Settings > Reading, and in ‘Your homepage displays’ I have ‘Your latest posts’ ticked.

Can you delete the Home Menu item. And then add a Custom Link to the menu. Give it a label of home and set the URL to your domain: https://www.wildlifeartstore.com/

Ive done that. Touch wood all will be fine. I’ll get back to you if I notice the glitch again.

    Thank you for your help.
