404 response on lots of of newly generated urls

Hi team,
I've come across a weird phenomena since changing my theme to GP — I ran my site through a link checker earlier and there are loads of new broken links — with a 404 server response.
They're all my usual urls — but they're followed by a / followed by my email address.

I googled this and someone had a similar problem on this thread —

but I'm not sure, from reading these, how to fix this.

Hi there,
the Theme doesn't do anything with Permalinks, it leaves that to WP core functions.
Considering the first StackOverflow topic you shared; are you using any plugins or functions that filter URLs? eg. for the social sharing or other SEO reasons.
Hi David — I think I understand what you mean!! The only sharing plugin I'm using is Grow Social by Mediavine — which adds social sharing buttons to my posts and pages. I'll disable it and run the broken link checker again.
Hopefully it may solve the problem!!

Hiya — no — sadly that's made no difference at all.
These are the plug-ins I'm using — which do you think is likely to be the culprit?

Just to say also, I've disabled google XML sitemaps and run the check again but it's still occurring. I'm absolutely stumped...
I disabled Rocket — to see if it was a caching issue — but that didn't solve the issue.
I also disabled the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin — but that didn't work either.
All the broken links look to be categories — ie — https://www.thetwinklediaries.co.uk/category-home-garden/caro@thetwinklediaries.co.uk
Could it be anything to do with my discussion settings? I have changed the setting to this —
'Break comments into pages with 4 top level comments per page and the last page displayed by default'
I would recommend disabling all plugins to see if that helps with the problem.
If no then I'd recommend checking with your hosting support to see if they are able to help to identify the problem.

Hiya, I have just heard back from my host about this — he said I've not used mailto:// as the scheme so its treating like a relative weblink.
This is what he says

You've not used mailto:// as the scheme so its treating like a relative weblink.
mail links should be of the form:
< a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="mailto://caro@thetwinklediaries.co.uk" target="_blank">caro@thetwinklediaries.co.uk'
The thing is, I haven't changed anything — only the theme!! How can I change all these email addresses on a site wide basis? Are they stemming from the admin email address in General Settings?
I'm totally lost with this — please can you advise?
In your sidebar author box you have an email address - edit that and change the link as your host suggested.
