Hi there, We have faced a 404 for 2x svg logo for a header logo which we made in Appearance > Elements area. Necessary screenshot to understand the problem.

We faced this 404 error in many pages as we used the header in these pages. It will be awesome, if you give us the solution for this problem.

    Hi Martino,

I tried accessing your site, and I can’t seem to replicate the 404 error.

Are you encountering this in the console?

To be sure, can you also share the link to the site in question? The one I accessed is the one linked to your account, however, as mentioned, I wasn’t able to encounter the issue.

Perhaps you can take a screenshot of the error as well?

Hope to hear from you soon!

I see. However, browsers should ignore the absence of the 2x image, and use the 1x image in its absence.

Is there a specific page in Mozilla where the image isn’t appearing?

    Kindly let us know.

    Hi there,

Thank you for your quick response. Yes, that’s the problem. The browser ignore the absence of the 2x image and generate the 404 error for each pages.

We want to get rid of this problem. Maybe can we remove the srcset or any other way.

Our main problem is to avoid 404 links for the pages.

I see. Another thing we can try is to set a Retina Logo in Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.

Then set a Retina Logo in your Header Element.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hi, I have done this. But it doesn’t work. The problem is still same. Can you please check and let me know anything else.

Be noted now there is a Retina Logo in svg set Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.

    Thank you.

Hi, thank you for your answer. We have already tried this. But this doesn’t help. Now I have removed the ratina logo again. Can you please check and let me know any other way.
    Thank you.

Hum, that’s added when using merge function of header which is not very easy to be modified.

I inspected your logo, the 2x is also pointing to the same logo, so there should NOT be a 404 error.

May I ask where did you see the 404 error as I checked all your screenshots, I didn’t see a screenshot showing 404.

Let me know if I miss anything.
