403 error when adding license - fixed, but should I leave snippet active?

Hi,
I was having the issue where I got the 403 issue where I couldn't connect my site to activate the premium license.
I found this php snippet that fixed it: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/403-forbidden-when-activating-license-key/
Do I need to leave the snippet in place for the automatic updates to work, or can I remove it now that its activated?

Hi Chris,
That's a good question. I believe the snippet needs to be left activated in order for the update to work.
