3.0 product and category columns of woocommerce

I'm testing out 3.0 on our test domain in the hopes of using it live soon. In playing with the woocommerce controls in the customizer, I keep setting the products and categories to display in multiple columns, but while it looks ok in the customizer, In the live there is always just one column of categories or products.

Looks like a caching issue - can you clear your cache plugin - if its still an issue can you temporarily disable it.
Strangest thing, I did clear the cache and literally turned it off with no change in results, but after your help, turning the cache off the next day worked...
