I use GeneratePress together with the Subtitles Plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/subtitles/). Everything works perfect as long as I do not use sections. But within sections subtitles are not displayed anymore. Homepage at given url is with sections and subtitles are missing. When I return to settings without sections, subtitles appear again.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Sections removes the Entry Header, as it’s like a simple pagebuilder we would expect that the Title would be added within a sections content, whats stopping you from adding the subtitle within the Section?

This seems to be a missunderstanding: I am not talking about the section title and subtitle, but about the subtitles of the posts that are listed within the sections (here using The Post Grid Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-post-grid/). Post lists/grids within sections do not display the subtitles of the posts, however, when I put the same lists/grids on a page without sections, subtitles are displayed.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHmm, not sure how Sections could be messing with that. Can you show me that same list on a test page without Sections?

Thank you for looking into this! I put the same content on a test page without sections here: https://www…./test/
Subtitles within the post are displayed without problems.June 6, 2019 at 3:39 pm #922135Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperStrange, it’s like the filter they’re looking for isn’t accessible using that plugin and Sections.
What if you use a plugin like WP Show Posts (just as a test)? Same issue?

Same issue using WP Show Post as you may see at www…./test-2/

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s strange, I’m not seeing why Sections would interfere with that. The filters are all the same.
WPSP has a hook we can hook a sub-title into without a plugin. Not sure if the grid plugin you’re using has hooks as well?

It’s not only with the grid plugin. Same issue with the Recent Post Slider (https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-responsive-recent-post-slider/) at the top of the test page. Subtitle is missing here as well when sections are used.
I can’t see whether hooks are available for the grid plugin (see https://www.radiustheme.com/downloads/the-post-grid-pro-for-wordpress/). Is this something that can be evaluated from the installed plugin or how can we find out?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt’s possible that the plugin simply isn’t compatible with editors other than the standard classic editor. It also hasn’t been updated in a couple of years.
Perhaps this will work?: https://wordpress.org/plugins/add-subtitle/
You would need to ask the developers of the grid plugin if hooks exist.

Thank you for your efforts. I now removed sections and used html/css to create color sections.
