i’m getting the ‘disallow file edit’ message in my admin, but i don’t have that line defined in my wp-config. i disabled my security plugin, but it persists. the site is behind a maintenance door, but i can give you access, but can you think of any place else this might be coming from?

It’s really hard to tell as it can be triggered by other plugins etc.
You can just remove the admin message using this PHP snippet if you’d like:

ok, thanks. i was trying to figure out if it was what was causing my edits to media files to not be saved.
Ahh sorry my bad. Thought you meant Disallow PHP execution.
Hmm usually it’s just this line:
define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);added in wp config.Maybe go through the disable plugin exercise first, if not then might be good to check with your host.
