Ian
I’m trying to re-create a header from my site that I’m bringing over to GP from Genesis and the header is like this at the moment.
https://www.customerpath.com.au/digital-products-services/build-digital-products-services/
I’ve begun creating the header in GP > Elements but the background of the hero goes the full height of the page. I would only like the hero section to be 500px high on desktop with 50% height on mobile.
Also I would like to insert the post_except into the header below the post/page title.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
if you’re using the Merged Site Header, then make sure the Full Height isn’t checked on the Header Settings. To adjust the height you will need to set the top and bottom padding to suit. You can do this separately for desktop and mobile.
To add a Manual Excerpt to the hero you can use the shortcode snippet here:

Thanks David, I’m sure I that wasn’t checked but I’ll have another look.

The full screen is not selected.
I have chosen to show the featured image as the background image. Will the size of the header be set depending on the featured image size because padding is having no effect on the height of the header at all.
I would share the site but it is in a password protected staging area which SiteGround recommends you do with staging sites.
The post excerpt worked well, thanks.
Is there a way I can share the password and username with you without it being made public in this forum?

I’ve just sent those details via the contact page on GP that you provided as an account issue as there was no contact for technical.

StaffCustomer SupportYou have this CSS added in Simple CSS which makes page hero full screen:
.page-hero { height: 100vh; }December 5, 2018 at 2:09 pm #749126Ian
OK, thanks very much Leo.
