    Hi there,

I use a Thrive landing page for my homepage and Generate Press for the rest of my site.

I’ve installed the Google Tag Manager code on both Generate Press and the Thrive homepage.

Now, when I check the tag assistant, it says there are multiple installations of Google Tag Manager detected.

When I remove the code from either Thrive or Generate Press, this warning goes away, but obviously, I want it to fire on both the homepage and Generate Press sections of the site.

Is this a normal and acceptable warning therefore, or do I need to take any action?

    Thanks,

    Joel

    Hi there,

whats different in the Thrive GTM set-up to what you have in GeneratePress?

Here are the instructions for Thrive Themes:

Just to clarify, I only get that warning on the homepage (Thrive landing page) of my site. There are no tag assistant warnings on the rest of the site.

    Cheers,

    Joel

Just remove the Thrive GTM – the one added to GP will still fire on the homepage.

    Hi David,

After removing both bit of codes from the Thrive landing page, GTM didn’t turn Green in the Tag assistant when testing the homepage – accompanied by the following message:

“GTM no-script code not found: either missing or not in <body>”

So, I tried leaving the second bit of GTM code in the body section of the Thrive landing page and it seems to be fixed.

    Is that ok?

    Cheers,

    Joel

    You’re welcome.
Just so you know if you use the Hook Element for the GTM then you can use its display rules to select / exclude which pages it is on:
