I’m re-building a site for a client. Her Contact page (and a couple others) need Sections to split some of the content. I read the Sections Overview doc, and checked the box on that page to use sections. True enough, the editor disappeared, but no “Add Sections” box appeared. What am I missing? I’m using 2.1.4 & 1.7.2 Premium on a brand new 4.9.8 site hosted on GoDaddy.
Here’s what the page I’m editing looks like:

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s strange. If you click “Screen Options” at the top right, is the “Sections” checkbox checked?

::sigh:: Okay, the “Sections” in Screen Options was on. I got looking at the edit page, and the footprint for All In One SEO was huge. I disabled it and voila – the Create Section button appeared (although it appeared way above where the SEO forms are).
So now I’ve created two sections – Left Side and Main. I want them to be side by side – the addy & phone # in a narrow column on the left, a contact form in a wide column on the right – re-creating the look of the original page (which was a highly-customized version of some theme). Right now, the sections are stacked on top of one another when viewed.
I’ve looked at the settings for the sections, and I can’t see an easy way of defining them or setting the visual look. Is there a more detailed explanation of this in the documentation somewhere? I’m not finding it.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
we could muck around with some CSS to align the sections horizontally, but that would be overkill for your needs, maybe this other plugin of Tom’s is what you need, it doesn’t require Sections either:

I’ll give it a try – thanks!

Hello,
I am testing out Generatepress Premium in a staging environment, as I would like to move from Divi theme.
When editing a page, it simply looks like the page with an added ‘+’ button to add blocks. There is no option to add sections, as is shown in your video here https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sections-overview/
I cannot add a fullwidth section with a different background colour on my page, for example.
I have all modules activated (ie. sections, backgrounds, colours etc).Would this be an error carried over from Divi or am I missing something?
Please help!
