Andrew
Hi
I am building a site for a client with GP as the base using Elementor Pro for layouts & AnyWhere Elementor Pro for customising templates further. I have designed some custom headers & footers in Elementor pro that I have set for site wide. these work fine and appear when I create a new page or post. However my client isn’t so tech savvy so I am trying to make it as easy for her as poss! Is it possible to have the the default template set to Elementor Full Width under page attributes page attributes instead of just default? that way making it so my client doesn’t have to select this everytimme. The end outcome is to remove the default sidebar on pages and posts.
Thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
There will be a global option for Full Width layout in the next version in GP Premium.
The beta is out right now so you can try it out:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/beta-testing/You can also add this CSS to make the site content full width globally:
body .site.grid-container { max-width: 1690px; }Sidebar layout can be edited in the customizer:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout/Let me know if this helps.

Dear GeneratePress support,
repeating the original question above >>>
Is there a way to set “Elementor Full Width” template as the default page attribute for new pages?
Essentially I think what I’m asking is: How do you set “Elementor Full Width” template as page.php so when you create a new page – “Elementor Full Width” is the preselected page attribute (instead of generatepress’s “Default template”..?Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperI don’t believe it’s possible to set a page template by default.
However, you can set the content area to full width using a Layout Element: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
