I would like to know how I would go about having the logo image on the sticky menu show a different image (a variant of the logo image) instead of the cropped one upon scrolling.

I think I figured this out. The solution is blatantly obvious but I didn’t notice till just now.
On the sticky header the image needs to be set within Customizing ▸ Layout ▸ Primary Navigation ▸ Navigation Logo.
Also the Navigation Logo Placement (within Customizing ▸ Layout ▸ Primary Navigation ▸ Navigation Logo Placement ) must be set to Sticky for this to work as intended.
This gives me two different logo variants for the static and sticky.
Hope this helps anyone else facing the same issue.
