In GP Premium, the Layout Options panel has disappeared. This is the panel that has “Disable Elements” Top Bar, Header, etc. It appears when editing a page. It was working earlier. At the same time, the “Content Title” option stopped working. The Content Title re-appeared. It had worked fine earlier and on other websites

I have Generatepress Premium 3.3. Is it possible that my Premium version has suddenly been disabled? I tried reinstalling and nothing changed. Tried a different browser with same problem.

    Hi David,

Can you check if the necessary modules are still enabled in Appearance > GeneratePress?

All the GeneratePress options are enabled. The Layout Option panel just disappeared while I was editing a page. I went to another site I had been working on with no problems and the Layout Options panel also disappeared.

I see. Can you provide admin login credentials so we can take a closer look?

From my end, it’s appearing: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuqxgQD

Just click the arrows if you want to change where it’s located.

Many thanks for your prompt response. For some reason, the location of the Layout Panel moved from its place at the bottom of the right Tool Bar to the position in your screen capture at the bottom of the screen. If I click on the the arrow, it moves back to the Tool Bar. But now I know where to look for it.

However, clicking on the “Content Title” option still does not disable the Page Title. It used to work. I don’t think the other options work either. Clicking on “Primary Navigation” and “Footer” do not disable the menu bar at the top or the footer. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi David,

    The layout metabox should work.

Can you link us to a page where this issue occurs?

Many thanks for your prompt response. I have provided two page links in the Private Information box. The problem occurs on all the pages on the dev site. The “Content Title” option used to work and it works on other sites where I use GP Premium.

Both pages are using a block element - content template, the title is added to the content template.

The layout metabox controls the theme’s default content title, but not the one added via block elements.

I don’t understand the difference between “the theme’s default content title” and what appears at the top of the pages I linked to. The words that appear at the top of the page are “Home” and “About”, which are the names of the pages. I didn’t do anything to place them there. As a test, I created a new page with nothing on it but a line of text. The name of the page appears at the top. If I click on disable “Content Title”, it has no effect on the name of the page appearing on the page. There’s a link to this test page in the private information box. In any case, the question is, how do I remove the Page Name from appearing at the top of a page?

Many thanks for your help so far. I love GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks so far and would like to get this feature working.

The words that appear at the top of the page are “Home” and “About”, which are the names of the pages.

Go to appearance > elements, find the block element - content templatewhich is assigned to pages, and you can remove the title from there.
