    The GeneratePress Premium Plugin won’t update on my staging site.

    GeneratePress itself is already updated it seems, but when I press to update the Premium, it says: “Update failed: Download failed. Unauthorized”

    I was having the same issue on my live site but I managed to get it working by following the directions here

    Seems odd to me but this doesn’t work on the staging site. As advised in the article I went to Purchase History-> View Licenses-> Manage Sites. The staging site URL was actually already added. I even deactivated it and added it again. Still doesn’t work.

    I’d like to get this fixed because ideally, I’d like to update the staging site first

    Please advise. Thank you!

    Hi there,

    That’s strange – all the system recognizes is the URL and has no idea if it’s a staging site and live site.

    What if you remove the license key, Save, input the license key, and save again?

    An alternative solution would be a manual update:
