    Hi There,

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to help with this but had a message saying (regarding the site I’m working on):

The support at Litespeed also tells me there’s an HTML error that’s causing image optimization not to work

I don’t have details of what kind of error. Is there a tool I can use to check?

    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi there,

where exactly can i see the issue? I checked a few pages of your site, and all the images were lazyloaded ( by Perfmatters ) and display correctly. And there are no errors being reported in the browser console.

If its not a visible issue, then what is it thats not working ?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for looking into this.

I think the reason the images are displaying now is that the JS is now set to defer in Litespeed (the images didn’t work on iOS when JS was set to Delay in Litespeed) but issue is the site doesn’t pass Core Web Vitals for Mobile any longer.

What the LiteSpeed said was, “I have just checked the debug logs, the image optimization is being bypassed as you might have errors in your HTML code.” And he sent this screenshot:

Those debug logs look like something specific that Litespeed checks for, so i a have no idea what they mean lol
If i were to take a guess, i would go with Litespeeds optimisations attempts are conflicting with Perfmatters lazy loader. As both are potentially filtering the images HTML.
Try disabling those plugins to check for conflict.
