Jo
Me again, sorry!
This time I am trying to figure out why this page
https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/tutorials
does not read its right and left padding values as all the others such as
https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/
https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/services/
https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/contact/All these pages have their desktop left and right padding values set to 40, but on https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/tutorials the content extends beyond that and kind of overflows.
Once squeezed into tablet or mobile dimensions there seems to be no offset, but in desktop mode it is visible.
Also concerning the PADDING issue: In the CUSTOMIZER – Customizing – Layout – Container at the bottom there is CONTENT PADDING. What does that do? If I change the values nothing actually happens.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
did you fix the padding on that page ? As it looks ok to me.
The Customizer padding options are for the Theme elements. They don’t apply to the Container Blocks or other blocks on a page.

Hi David,
no I didn´t. If you compare https://b2wxqamp.myraidbox.de/tutorials/ to all the other pages it sticks out to the left of the logo above and to the right as well, spreading beyond the DE button.
All the other pages stay within the limits of 40 px right and left.

StaffCustomer SupportAh ok, the difference between the that page and the others is where the Container Block padding is located.
You have a parent Container Block with an inner Container Block.
On the “good” pages your Padding is on the inner Container Block.
Whereas the Tutorial page it is on the parent Container.March 17, 2023 at 7:07 am #2571066Jo
Hi David,
but that´s what I´ve been checking for in the first place and it is NOT TRUE: I evenly assigned the 40px value on all OUTER containers checking meticulously that the inner containers have no values or value 0.
How did you infer that it would be different?

StaffCustomer SupportYour other pages use the older Container block where the Inner Container is hidden. When you add padding to those older blocks it gets added to that hidden inner container.
With the new Blocks you have to select inner Container Block and add the padding to it. Not to the outer Container Block

Hi David,
“Your other pages use the older Container block where the Inner Container is hidden. When you add padding to those older blocks it gets added to that hidden inner container.!”
If I´d known that…. 🙂
Beautiful! Thanks! Now it works!!!
