Tom
Hi ,
I have a Custom Post Type called Positions.
The positions are the following:- Material Handler 1 – NOW HIRING -> not displaying
- Certified Welding Inspector – NOW HIRING
- Industrial Welder – NOW HIRING
- Machine Operator – NOW HIRING
- Industrial Painter – NOW HIRING
- CNC Plasma Operator – NOW HIRING
- Fitter – NOW HIRING
- Industrial Electrician – Not Currently Hiring -> not displaying
- Industrial Mechanic – Not Currently Hiring
I have created a page that contains TWO separate Query Loops.
The Query Loops work on the principle of displaying TAXONOMIES whether the jobs are “Now Hiring” and “Not Currently Hiring” – – And are set to display 20 posts. They both work -> ALMOST. The page does not display all the positions.
- Material Handler – does not show up at all. I have recreated the position and it does not show up.
- The others – 7 will show up. and one other – sort of randomly won’t. (Currently not displaying are Industrial Electrician & Material Handler)
- I have tried clearing all caches and browser cache.
Hoping for some ideas.
Thanks!March 10, 2023 at 11:22 am #2563385Ying
StaffCustomer SupportHi Tom,
I tried to log in, but
your-domain/wp-admindoesn’t work, can you share the WP login URL as well?March 10, 2023 at 11:52 am #2563416Tom
apologies – see below

Can you let me know (at your convenience) if you were able to login. I can’t figure out WHY I can’t get all posts top appear. (The query loop is set to 10 which is more than we need for wither loop.).
Currently – neither Query loop is responding with results.Something is clearly not working correctly.Update:
I have gotten the Query Loop to respond by displaying results again (positions).
HOWEVER
The positions “Material Handler” and “Certified Welding Inspector” seem to be affecting one another:
1 – When I switch the taxonomy of Material Handler to EITHER “Hiring” or “Not Currently Hiring” – the position “Certified Weld Inspector” with appears or disappears.
2 – In either case regarding #1 – I cannot get “Material Handler” to be visible at all.March 13, 2023 at 2:16 pm #2566509David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
first thing to try if a taxonomy is not displaying the expected posts is to rebuild the sites permalinks.
To do that go to Settings > Permalinks and click save changes.Let us know

I changed permalinks – saved – then changed back.
Cleared cache, restarted browser.
Did not fix anything.NOW:
Material Handler still is not visible.
Industrial Welder is not visible. What should I try next?
Thanks!

Hi Tom,
Can you try recreating those two positions from scratch to test if the same issue will exist?
March 14, 2023 at 6:00 am #2567162Tom
Yes – was trying to avoid that. And I DID recreate Material Handler (which did not work). But will rebuild:
- Material Handler
- Ind. Welder
- Weld Inspector – just for good measure.
It’a little time intensive – but was sort of expecting that.
Thanks Fernando – I will let you know how it goes.

Leo,
I deleted the three – but then one of the remaining 6 stopped appearing.
This leads me to believe – regardless of what I do – there is an issue in the code somewhere. I would really appreciate you all taking a look. Before I scrap all the positions, rebuild them and hope it works. I think there is more happening and it seems to be happening at the Query Loop level as the positions seem to appear and disappear from there in the backend too.Offset was set to “1” in the Query Loop – I did not touch that parameter. But I did copy the QueryLoop – so the problem was existing in both.
WHY that offset is ever there is beyond me. Is the DEFAULT “1”?
I will now rebuild the positions I deleted and report back.
Let me know.

Aggravating – but offset was the culprit.
Thanks for the help.

I see. Glad you found the cause. You’re welcome, Tom!
