Hi, I write articles and occasionally post YouTube videos. Is it possible to make the video/ thumbnail of the video become the post image? Thank you.

You’ll need to manually add the YouTube thumbnail as the featured image.
You can try this plugin and see if it helps: https://wordpress.org/plugins/videographywp/
They have an instructional video there as well.
