    Hi,

I’m in the process of migrating from divi to GP. Part of that is manually editing each post, removing the weird html and then updating it. As you can see on the Loom I shared, the default version looks as I want it to on the front end. Is there any reason I should click the “convert to blocks” button on each of these pages whilst I’m doing this?

    Hi Matt,

The video only shows the Google doc, it doesn’t show your site.

    Can you check?

Sorry, readding here. Basically want to know (as I’m doing 500 of these) if the process shown is best or if i should be selecting blocks..

    Thanks

Not sure why it happens, but it’s likely not a theme-specific issue, more like a platform converting issue.

If you switch to the twenty-twenty-one theme, does the process still required?

    Let me know!

Hi, which bit you’re not sure about? I know the leftover code is from Divi so not an issue, main question is should I be using blocks or is the classic editor beat? And does that html cleanup look like the right thing to be doing

    Thanks

Since WordPress has deprecated the classic editor awhile ago, I think it makes sense to convert everything to blocks while you are doing the clean up.

OK thanks. So that would be simply hitting the ‘convert to blocks’ button and nothing else?

    Hi there,

So that would be simply hitting the ‘convert to blocks’ button and nothing else?

    yes, that is correct.
please note that you should double check the content before saving the changes or perform these kinds of updates on a backup/staging site.
