Hi,
I have tried to embed a Spotify podcast episode for a client on their website.
The container and the embed is there – I can see it in the sourcecode.
But it’s not displaying on the frontend.
So I deactivated all plugins.
That made the Spotify embed visible on the frontend.
Then I re-activated the plugins one by one.
When I got to re-activating GeneratePress Premium the Spotify embed disappeared again.
Can you help?
Thank you.
best

Hi David,
When I de-activate the Elements module in GP Premium the Spotify embed is working just fine.
But as you might remember we rely heavily on the Elements module in this client solution, not the least because of the special anchorlinks solution on the frontpage that you so kindly helped us with a lot. 🙂
But again; without the Elemnts module the SPotify embed works just fine.
Do you have any hook elements that are adding code to your site ?
If you do, can you disable each one to find out which is conflicting with the spotify player
Hi David,
Thank you for your reply.
It’s our CookieBot consent hook that’s causing the trouble.
Have you any idea what to do?
I tried and move the hook to the WP Footer, and then the Spotify embed seemed to be working.
But according to Cokiebot’s own documentation their script should be placed in the WP Header…

Unfortunately i don’t know what CookieBot is doing that would break the spotify player. And the Theme has no input here either. GP Elements just allows you to easily add code to your site but it doesn’t get involved with that code.
You would need to raise the conflict issue with CookieBot, or find an alternative provider for that service.
