    Good Day,

My site and pages are not yet live.
Software is up to date on theme and blocks. I’ve emptied cache.

I am having some trouble figuring out the sizing/max-width.

I created a main container (#1). It is set to a global width of 4000px.
Within the main container (#1) I created an inside container (#2).
Within container (#2) I created a Grid with two containers set at 50%/50%.

When I enter an 825px value in the (container 2) sizing:max-width box it does nothing.

The outer container (#1) should have max-width of 4000px.
The inner container (#2) which contains the Grid should have a max-width 825px.

I have L/R margins set to “auto”.

I must be missing a step. How can I get container (2) to have a max-width different than global?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

    Darin

    Hi Darin,

Any chance you can link us to the page in question?

It would be much easier for us to help if we can inspect the code and the structure.

You can use the private information field:

    Let me know 🙂

    Hi Leo,

I must have been missing a step. I started over and it is working now.
It was my first time using the new layout features. I think I’ve got the basics figured out.

    I’ll continue reviewing the documentation.

I appreciate you getting back with me and offering your assistance.

    Thanks!
    Darin

Flexbox definitely has a learning curve – but it’s very powerful once you understand it.

Just let us know if you run into an issue again and we can inspect the page and tell you exactly what is wrong 🙂
