I try Generateblocks for the first time, since a customer of mine prefers Gutenberg over the classic editor. So far, I’ve used WP Show Posts and have always been super happy with it. My first try to create a query loop with GB was a complete fail. Where would I post my questions regarding GB? In the GB support forum, on wordpress.org (for test purposes I use the free version) or on this forum?

it should be in the wordpress.org forum 🙂
But some pointers, try using one of the Free patterns from here:
https://generateblocks.com/library/?pattern-type=free&pattern-category=query-loop
And then select the Query Loop block, and in it sidebar settings Add the Parameters you want 🙂
