Lewis
Hi Support Team
I am using query loop to display recent posts and I would like to shrink the width space in between posts (so that the image and text are larger, and the empty space is smaller).
I have tried shrinking the container width, but the gap in between the featured images & text is still too large for my liking. I would like to display as many posts as possible on the page, with as little wasted space as possible.
The issue is compounded when I move to mobile view. The images and text are far too small and the space between images is too big – there is too much white empty space.
Thank you in advance, Lewis Murphy

Hi Lewis,
You can alter the gaps in the Grid settings. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQu4Plqb
Let us know how it goes.

Hi Fernando, unfortunately I have tried that – the horizontal gap on grid settings has been adjusted to 0.
If you look on mobile view, that is where the main issue is. Desktop view isn’t so bad, but still the gap is slightly too large there.
I have tried going to customize – layout – container and reducing left & right content padding on mobile view. This helps to an extent, however, the horizontal & vertical gaps between posts is still too large. Also, the title ‘Recent Articles’ moves too close to the left side.
Another question is – can you add an overall headline inside the query loop (at the top) so that the title ‘Recent Articles’ does not move all the way to the left when I adjust the container padding.
Let me know if further clarification is needed.
Thanks, Lewis

I see.
The “gap” is coming from the padding of your Post Template Block.
Can you try removing or decreasing its padding on mobile?

No, you can’t. What do you want the “Recent Articles” text to look like?

Thanks, that’s solved the first issue !
I would like the Recent Articles title to line up exactly with the query loop post list.
This is working fine on mobile view. Desktop view is now the issue. “Recent Articles” is slightly too much to the left. I would like it in line with the left hand image.
Thanks again

Try adding
20pxleft margin or padding to the Headline Block on Desktop view.February 8, 2023 at 4:56 am #2525724Lewis
