    Hi,

I have added a button to a custom taxonomy archive and it’s is working just fine in the block template.
Is it possible to add a dynamic taxonomy image (field already created with ACF) in the form of an icon or even button background?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Alex,

Can I see the custom taxonomy archive and the button?

    Hi Ying,

I have it in local only. Simple block with GB. Default button. The idea is to use the taxonomy like a separate tags level.

    Container -> Button -> Dynamic ->

    Dynamic text type
    List of terms
    Taxonomy
    custom-taxonomy
    Dynamic link type
    Term archives

The button is working just fine and I am looking to use the taxonomy featured image to either enhance the button visually or to just add small sized image as an icon, linking to the taxonomy archives.

    Hi Alex,

If you have GB Pro, you can turn a Container Block into a dynamic link, and add a dynamic Background image to it as well.

In this way, a Container can act as a Button.

Another approach would be to add the dynamic bg image to a Container Block, and add a transparent colored Button Block in there.

Sounds great, let me make sure I understand correctly.

With GP Pro I can have a block template with with the entire main container linkable and also, I can have an inner smaller container with dynamic background and dynamic link to archives. Correct?

    Hi there,

    It depends
With GenerateBlocks Pro, you can add a Link to the Container block.
But any link inside that container may get obscured by the Container Link, so you need to give the content inside the container a z-index of 100 or greater.

For the design you have that should work ok.

OK, I’ll give it a shot. Thanks
