Hi,
Is it possible to disable the primary navigation from the blog page?
I cannot find the setting to do this?February 7, 2023 at 12:15 pm #2525007Ying
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Removing the primary navigation will remove the sticky navigation as well.
Do you want that?

No I need the sticky , is there no solution round that? The issue is that the anchor links dont work when it is on the blog page. If that could be resolved then the primary navigation doesn’t have to go
EDIT: I have anchor links within the submenu items of the primary navigation which dont work on the blog page

StaffCustomer SupportThe issue is that the anchor links dont work when it is on the blog page.
If that’s the case, why would you need sticky navigation on blog page? The menu items should be exactly the same.
Let me know!

I would like when a submenu linked e.g. books, is clicked while on the blog page, the visitor could be directed to the home page > books sections.
I tried using full link in the submenus but the issue is that the submenus remained all highlighted when at the home page.
Is there a way to disable the primary navigation specifically on the blog page, while maintaining it on the home page as it is now? I think that would be the best solution.

It’s ok , I have decided to simplify things from a user experience and remove the submenus.

StaffCustomer SupportYou can use a layout element to disable the primary navigation and set the location to blog.
Make sure the Disable elements module is activated at appearance > Generatepress.

Apologies fore coming back to this, I just notice that this effect is only on desktop and is not applied on other devices such as mobile. Is there any way to disable the primary navigation on the blog page, applicable to all devices and not just desktop?
