My blog posts are displaying in chronological order by default (oldest first) and I want to reverse that to be like most sites, with the most recent ones displayed first. I’ve navigated through every formatting menu and option in WP/GP dashboard that I can find, but I can’t see any way to make this change. Every forum online claims that all WP sites are set to display blog posts in reverse chronological order by default and so every help topic is about users who need to change *away* from that, but I have the opposite problem.

    Hi Richard,

So we can take a closer look at the issue, can you provide admin login credentials?

Please use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information

Can you also provide the specific link where the posts are not ordered in a default manner?

On the front page of the site (buyingwithpride.com) there are currently six blog posts displaying. The first (“Gay-Themed Christmas Gifts on Amazon”), in the upper-left of the block of six, is from 11/23/22 – the oldest. The next one over is from 11/26/22, and so on until the sixth and final one, which is from 12/13/22.

Because the front page is displaying in chronological order only shows six posts at a time, the two most recent (12/29/22 and 1/6/23) aren’t showing up on the front page at all. If we can change the orientation to the normal reverse-chronological order, that 1/6/23 post (“Reading for Dry January”) would be the first one you would see on the front page.

I see. That section is built with Elementor.

You would need to reach out to them regarding this.

The default Blog page is set through Settings > Reading. Currently, you don’t have one set yet.

OK, thanks – I’ll look into the Elementor options.
