I am using GenerateBlocks and Gutenburg. I want to make a 2 column layout. Each column is 1/2 full width (goes the edge of page). The content in the columns should be contained. I got the 2 different column backgrounds ok. How can I get the left column content to be contained? I’ve tried putting container in container, grid in container, container in container in container in container; It is driving me nuts.
I’ve posted an image that illustrates the issue here:

Is there some setting I am just not finding or what?

I believe adding some padding for the left container would be what you are looking for:

Adding padding would be ok if the page was always the same width but padding does not scale so the alignment would not be right when page is resized.
As for now, try using the responsive control to set different padding for different device:

max-widthproperty:

If you are not in a hurry to release the current build then I’d high recommend the beta version 🙂
