Hi,
I’m looking to dynamic add social media links to the author box, which should link to different social media pages based on different authors.
David explained in this support ticket on using author meta field generated by Yoast. If I’m not using Yoast, is there a way to implement this?

That solved everything except for website linking. By default, there is a field in Edit Users for “Website” but when I enter
websiteorurlinsideMeta field nameit doesn’t seem to work.I can create another field in function.php for website as an alternative. Is there a way to avoid duplicating the ‘Website’ field?

Can you try
user_urlfirst? Reference: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_the_author_meta/You can also add custom user meta through a plugin like ACF. This is what we usually recommend as opposed to custom code.
