If I am totally out of scope – please let me know. Absolutely won’t be offended.
With our current website – I have a half dozen, or more, Landing Pages to help track digital & non-digital advertising.
With our new website – it dawned on me, with a combination of Generate Press/CPT UI/Adv. Custom Fields, that there MIGHT be a way to quickly build Landing Pages.
It would take some work INITIALLY, but my thought process is:
Build a CPT: Landing Pages
Add Taxonomy: Job Position [Welder, Painter, Mechanic, and so on]
Add Taxonomy: Advertising Media [Facebook, Google, Billboard, etc]
Build 3 or 4 GP Content TemplatesThen
As I create a Landing page – it makes it more of a “1,2,3-GO!” process as opposed to spend a couple hours every time I need to create a landing page.So – I’m asking GP folks and anyone with experience:
- Has anyone tried to do something like this?
- Is my thought process in the ballpark?
- Is there a smarter way?
That’s it. Again – if I’m out-of-scope, no harm. Appreciate it.

What kind of page are you referring to as a landing page?
A static page? or an archive page? or something else?

Just a normal page.
My digital ads would lead to these landing pages – which would lead to a job application – then to a Thank You page which would trigger a conversion.
If it’s a static page, you don’t need to use any block element – content template, you can build the page as you want.
If you are going to have multiple static pages with similar styles/layouts, you can copy the entire page content and paste it into a new page.
