This website is working, but when I try to log into the WordPress admin area I get this message:

This page isn’t workingdecosign.ca is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

By FTP, I turned off all plugins then I was able to log in. Through trial and error, it seams that I can turn all plugins on except the GP Premium plugin.

So, I deleted the plugin and re-installed it (version 2.2.2) and as soon as I active the plugin I get the error again and cannot access the admin area.

The GP Premium plugin is currently off, and I will include login information in the private area.

    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Leanne

Yes. there are two page heros (headers). One on the main page that displays a slider and another that displays an image on all other pages.

    Hi Leanne,

To clarify, after you were able to login, if you re-enable GP Premium, do you get logged out?

If not, can you try disabling these two Page Heroes and all other elements?

    Afterward, try logging in again.

If you’re able to login, it must be because of one of the Elements.

Otherwise, you might need to delete GeneratePress Premium, and then re-download and re-install it.

    Hi,

if I activate the plugin, I get locked out.

I already deleted GP premium and reinstalled it.

I am not able to delete the 2 page heros… because I get locked out when I activate the GP premium plugin.

    what do you suggest?

What’s the login link? Can you keep it deactivated at the moment? We’ll login and take a closer look.

Please use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information

Have you tried deactivating all plugins before activating GeneratePress Premium? If not, can you try that?

Here are steps you may follow.

    1. Access your database. Here’s an article that may help: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/wordpress-database/#access-database

You may also try to reach out to your hosting provider regarding this.

Alternatively, you can also install a plugin to be able to access your database. Example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-phpmyadmin-extension/

    2. In your database, look for the wp_posts table.

Click on search and search for gp_elements as the post_type value. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/p9uLo2Ok

    3. Edit the resulting post for the search. See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/rRu5ADOm

    4. Set the post_status value to draft. See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/2Nu6o8mk

    5. Repeat steps 3-4 for all search results.

After doing this, try reactivating GP Premium.

    Hi,

There was only one result and I followed your instructions complete.

However, when I activate the GP premium plugin it still locks me out of the website.

    What more can we do?

To clarify, are you downloading GP Premium from here?: https://generatepress.com/account/

Can you try deleting GP Premium, re-downloading, and re-installing it from scratch?

Inherently, there’s nothing in GP Premium that should cause this issue.

    Hi,

I tried that and as soon as I activated it, it locked me out.

So turned off all plugins and activated them one at a time, starting with GP Premium.

Now everything is ok, until I turn on a plugin called Strong Testimonials.

So, maybe it was that plugin all along. ??

I will delete that plugin and use a different one.

That should solve the problem, right?
