conflict with my project management plugin “Projectopia

    Hello,

I’m soliciting you because of a message that appears in the dashboard menu of the customer area on my website set up with the Projectopia plugin. It is an invitation to subscribe to a Mailchimp newsletter, but I have never set it up and it does not depend on the plugin itself since I just got the feedback from their support team.

The thing is that the attention capture message looks very similar to the one used on one of your site templates, but I don’t remember which one. Please note that I don’t use MailChimp or its WordPress plugin either.

I really want to use this plugin and hope you will find a solution to my problem. Below is a preview of the message from the somehow integrated widget:

For a better visibility of the problem, I have created a customer account for you, the details of which will be attached below in private message.

Please let me know if you also need to access the admin panel of the website for further investigation.

    Best regards,

    Thami

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your reply.

I’ve verified and all the widgets are empty.

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards,

    Thami

    It is very odd.

Can you disable the Litespeed cache / CDN to make sure its not a cached object ?

Done. I’ve disabled LiteSpeed Web ADC – LSCache from the server side and the plugin from my website.

Hmmm… its really bizarre, what happens if you disable the Block editor for widgets?
    See here :

Do the phantom widgets now appear in Appearance > Widgets?

    Hello David,

I hope you had a good weekend and thank you very much for your follow-up.

Indeed by adding the PHP code, the widget phantom under Appearance – Widgets appears.

Do I keep the PHP code on my site and just delete the content of the widget under Appearance?

Does the PHP code have no impact on the usual use of the theme or does it override a particular feature?

    Thanks again.

I would, delete the content from the widgets.
    Then remove the PHP Snippet.

In doing so it should fix the problem and you can use the Block Editor widgets if needed.

That filter is a core WP function, it won’t affect any other part of the site or other features. It just means you cannot use Blocks in your widget area. For some uses the code is a must have, as they may be using Plugins that provide a classic widget. The choice is yours 🙂
