Hi everyone, I’m looking for a theme where I can easily add a short article summary, right below the main title.
I received the following instruction by email, can you help me with the process? I just purchased the product.
“Hi Denilson,
You will need to create a custom field for posts, and add the summary into the custom field.
With GP Premium’s elements module, you can use the Headline block of the GenerateBlocks plugin (free) to pull the data from the custom field and insert it under the title.
If you have no idea how that works, you can open a support topic in GP’s premium support forum, and we’ll be happy to assist you.”

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
are you familiar with the ACF plugin ? Or the standard WordPress Custom Fields ?

Hi David, not so much. But I believe I can follow well if I follow the instructions.
I imagine I have to create a custom field for the summary and call it in the theme, right?
It would also be interesting to know how to do this through the method mentioned in the message, the possibility of building a blog post page completely my way caught my attention.

Yes, it’s correct.
You can install the ACF plugin and create a custom field like this:
https://www.screencast.com/t/Uql6FTc9g1Here’s the instruction from ACF plugin: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/adding-fields-posts/
Before we go to the next step, can you tell me where you want the summary to show? Is it the blog page or the single post page?
Let me know!

Hello, thanks for your help. I did what you instructed in ACF, my desire is for a summary field to be displayed below the title, on all articles on the site.
It’s not on the blog page (Archives), it’s on the post itself.

StaffCustomer SupportI see, thanks for the clarification 🙂
1. You will see the summary custom field in your post editor, enter your summary text there:
https://www.screencast.com/t/T6buZCQB9W2. Go to appearance > elements, and create a new block element, select
hookas the element type, selectafter_entry_titleas hook name, enter5as the priority andset post > all postsas the location under the display rule tab.3. Add a
headlineblock (from GenerateBlocks plugin with blue icon) to the element.
https://www.screencast.com/t/ftihzUg1You should be able to see the summary in your posts 🙂
