I’m curious if this is a possible. somewhat of a noob here.
I would like to create a barebones directory of cabinet makers by state.
ex: url structure: cabinet.com/new-york or cabinet.com/texasCan this be done with “Custom Post types”. I’d prefer not to use a “plugin etc”
Any direction would be appreciated.

This isn’t a theme-specific issue so Google keyword like “Directory WordPress” might help as well.A plugin might not be a bad idea as well if it does exactly what you wanted.
This is more of a search I am looking for how to build the content.
Lets say I have 10 businesses. How do I add a state to each?+ name title, reviews etc.
I’m not exactly sure what you are after but the theme wouldn’t have specific options/features for this.
Have you considered using a directory plugin?
