How does one go about adding the form code where it says [insert e-mail subscription form]?
I plan to use Sendy and a WordPress plugin, but don’t know how to add the code.

Hi Alex,
Contact form and subscription form plugins usually provide a shortcode to insert the forms.
Then you can use a shortcode block to replace the text block:
