Hi I pushed one of your themes to an existing website… The page is only displaying after 1-2 seconds–and instead the navigation is displaying on left site of the page before entire site loads. I have deactivated all plugins and it does not make a difference. I wonder if you might help me on this: https://www.gymnasticsmentalcoach.com/gymnastics-psychology-programs/

    Hi Patrick,

It seems the CSS load is deferred, can you make sure all the cache/performance plugins are deactivated?

If your site has server-level cache enabled, make sure you disable that as well.

    Let me know!

It appears that the problem was unused CSS from previous theme (before pushing the new theme from staging site). Looks like that did the trick. But thanks for getting back to me quickly.

Any other challenges I need to be aware of when pushing new theme to the production site? I’m using WP Staging for staging site.

Glad it works for you now 🙂

I’m not familiar with that plugin, unfortunately.

I’m having trouble getting the “links” legacy widget to show properly in right sidebar. I have disabled all details such as ranking and title for each link. The link name shows twice with a number at the end:

Should I be using a new menus to display these in the sidebar?

    Thanks, Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

These links seem to be links from different sites.

An easy approach to add and fully modify these links is through GenerateBlocks Headline Blocks.

Through Headline Blocks, you can modify the Typography, Spacing, Colors, etc. Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/headline-overview/

You shouldn’t need to use a Menu Block to add these unless you prefer that.
