    Hi,

I am having issues with making the page full width.

I first tried Ying’s suggestion from here https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-do-i-make-page-full-width-on-by-default/

So I’ve created a layout element and selected “full width no padding” and then in display rules I selected “Entire Site”. Nothing happened – page is not full width.

Then I tried a different approach but the documentation doesn’t really reflect what I see in my customizer. For instance in this topic https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/single-post-full-page-width/, Leo suggested to change the content container and provided this documentation chapter – https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/.

The problem is I don’t have such an option in my customizer.

Furthermore, when I edit the actual page in my “settings” panel on the right, I can see Content Container choice box, and “full width” is the selected option. It is greyed out though and I cannot change it.

Also I do not have any additional CSS styling.

I am running out of ideas what else I can try.

The only solution that actually works was Elvin’s suggestion from this topic – https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-make-content-container-full-width/

His suggestion was to make it very wide like 6000px.

Is this really the only solution? What is the layout element for then?

    I’d appreciate your help. Thanks!
    Lech

Ah ok, so the Pages Content Container is set to Full Width – which is good.
But the GB Container Blocks added to the page are not.
Select a Container Block and in its Layout settings, set the Container to Full Width:

    https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/

You can still leave the Inner Container as Contained Width.
