Hi Sars,
Yes, you may.
You can use a Header Element, set a logo there, and display it solely on the Homepage.

By doing so will it make my other header elements to disappear?

Only one Header Element works for each page. So, either the old one will disappear or the new one wont appear.
If you have a current Header Element working solely for your Front Page you can add the site logo there.
However, if the current Header Element you have is set to display in multiple pages, you’ll need to exclude your Front Page in the Display rule settings of the Header Element, and create a new Header Element for your Front Page.
