Hi Team,
Although I have uploaded a featured image (and can see it on the right hand menu when editing the post), it does not get displayed in the right hand side along with the excerpt on the left. I can see if I click on the post though.
Link attached.
What is the best size for a featured image to be shown on blog posts and along with excerpts? Thanks

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
do you mean in the Sidebar ?

Not on the side bar.
What I was saying is that the featured image appears on the post itself, but it doesn’t show in the list of blogs (smaller featured image on the left along with the excerpt).Links attached.

Hi Rajj,
Thank you for clarifying.
To show the Featured image, and the excerpt on the Archive Page, you need to set it in Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog.
See these two articles for reference:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/However, the layout of the Posts you want on your Blog page would be easier to achieve with a Block Element – Content Template.
See here for reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-content-template/
It looks a bit Similar to the Geek template Blog page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEuMXGHIa08November 24, 2022 at 12:30 am #2430465rajjj
I dont understand Fernando.
Link attached is what I want to achieve.
Featured image along with excerpt in the blog listing, maybe I should change the blog listing from a grid to different format which is fine. But I dont want the featured image when a user actually goes into the post to read it.
Hope that makes sense.Thansk

Yes, the Blog layout you’re after is easily attainable through a Block Element – Content Template as mentioned. In this article: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-content-template/ there’s a video showing how to create one.
There’s also a template already available that looks similar to your goal. You can view it in the Templates section after the Element type as you’ve chosen Content Template. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/QwujDkl2
Moreover, to disable the Featured image on Single Post Pages, you can go to Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog, and disable it there. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/geuOJqz0
Hope this clarifies.
