My H1 page title automatically creates an h2 tag with the same text and I can’t find any information on why this is happening.

Are you seeing something different? If so, it might be a caching issue. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache or try using a different browser to view the site?
If you view my source code you’ll see it’s also automatically creating that h1 as h2
