Hi, I got a message in google console saying pages can not be indexed because of 5xx.

When I look at the pages, they are all like the URL I provided.
Can you please tell me why it’s happening?

    Hi Mouse,

GeneratePress has no control over how your site is indexed. Do you have an SEO plugin? It’s usually these types of plugins that control indexing.

It could also be that you have a different plugin or custom code that may be causing this as well. It would be good to try temporarily deactivating them to test.

Hi, thanks for replying. No, it’s not indexing related. Google is picking up URLs with “+” added at the end.

For example if the url is example.com/google-picking-urls/

Google is showing that example.com/google-picking-urls+/ can not be indexed

The theme has no control over URLs or permalinks as these are handled by WP core.

    Have you tried #1 here?
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/

If that doesn’t help then try #4 in the same article.

    Let me know 🙂
