Hi,
I lost my GTMetrix score of 100% on your READ theme on mtelblog.ba website when I installed Facebook tracking pixel through Google Tag Manager.
You can see reason from GTMetrix here: https://ibb.co/KWw5wHQ1) GTMetrix is suggesting I use WPRocket which will allow me to manipulate longer caching times and maybe fix this. Is it smart to add another plugin and use it with your already clean and fast theme?
2) Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Should I maybe remove the Facebook code from Google Tag Manager and insert it into the footer of each page so it loads later? Or contact hosting company (WPEngine to do something)?
Any ideas are welcome. I need Facebook pixel for retargeting, but I also would love to keep my GTMetrix score at 100%.

Hi Vladimir,
1. Caching Plugins help performance-wise. With the correct settings, it is something we do recommend for websites having performance issues.
2. Google Tag Manager is very heavy and known to cause performance issues. Usually, it’s suggested to defer any Javascript added by Google Tag Manager. I believe this is the reason why WP Rocket is suggested. You could also try removing it from Google Tag Manager and injecting it manually and see if it performs better.
It would be ideal to ask for assistance from your Hosting Provider if the Server response time is somewhat relatively high. Otherwise, you could first try a caching plugin or any plugin that can defer Render blocking Javascript.
If I were to remove Google Tag manager and put Google Analytics and Facebook tracking codes into your READ, would I use ELEMENTS and if so, which ELEMENT TYPE?

Great. I will not use Google Tag Manager and will insert Google Analytics and Facebook tracking code via Hook Element in wp_head.
