    hi, there

    pls check this screenshot https://prnt.sc/Rk0UMG49etu3

The main navigation menu ” About ” includes 6 sub-menus, which are added to the corresponding sub-menu on the left of the content.

So i want to know how to do the side-bar menu in the red box 2, which is matching the content on the right when clcking the the button in the red box 2.

    pls guide, thanks,

    Hi there,

    you would need to:

    1. Activate the Secondary Navigation in Appearance > GeneratePress.

    2. Create a new menu in Appearance > Menus, this should contain the same menu items you have in your submenu.
2.1 Set the new menus location to Secondary Navigation.

    3. Customizer > Layout > Secondary Navigation and set the Nav Location to Left Sidebar.

    4. In Appearance > Elements, create a new Layout Element and set the Sidebar options for the left sidebar
4.1 Set the Elements Display Rules to the Pages you want this to menu to be displayed.

    Hello David

    thanks for your help.

it seems that i can not set Secondary Menu to multiples, for example, one is for Titanium, one is for Stainless Steel, etc,
if u check my navigation menus, i have 5 main categories, i want to set the Secondary Menu to the corresponding pages,

now how to solve this issue, thanks

How many different menus are there ?

    Hi david

at present, we have 3 main menus including Titanium, Stainless steel and Nickel Alloy

    pls check the screenshot
    https://prnt.sc/CVV-z3sT0ID0
    https://prnt.sc/yAq2KVaPAdYL
    https://prnt.sc/-uIlaFdpTRvQ

The sub-menu will be shown under the each main menu when clicking the single page,

Now if i set the any one , other two will be not available when setting this step (2.1 Set the new menus location to Secondary Navigation.)

So, how to do achieve it?

    Thanks

If theres only 3 then the simplest method would be to:

    1. Create a separate menu for each of your sub menus.
    2. Create a separate Block Element – Sidebar for each of those top level pages.
2.1 Add a Navigation Menu Block and select the appropriate Sub Menu.
2.2 Set the Display Rules for the parent and submenu pages

You will have 3 x submenus and 3 x block element sidebars to do that.

    Thats correct.
Enable the Left sidebar on your pages. You can do this in the Customizer > layout > sidebar.
Or use a Layout Element to display them.

    hi, david, thanks

The first method can only be used once

The second method can be used multiple times alone, then can add sub-menu to the every single page separately

I mean that you told me the two different method to add the sub-menu on the left sidebar.

the first one is not useful for me
the second one is useful for me
