    Hi,

On an earlier thread, David said:

“Then you can built all your Archive pages using either a single: Loop Template or Content Template.”

Okay, that’s what I want to do.

Going through the docs the best I can, I *think* I do that with the Elements module – create a block element, create my query loop, set it to display on my home page (with inherit parameters), and then add a hook… like ‘after content’. I can do that.

But now how do I get rid of the default content (loop) that wp places on the home page? Or am I going about this all wrong?

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Intrinsically, the Content Template and the Loop Template’s function is to alter the way posts are displayed in the Blog/Archive pages.

With that said, you wouldn’t be removing the “loop” in your front page(given that your front page is the Blog page), you’ll just be altering the way it’s displayed.

    For reference, see here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-content-template/
