    Hi Support,

I’ve been trying to switch from mailpoet to mailerlite as a mailing list function but I’m struggling to get the pop-up to trigger on clicking a button. With the mailpoet form I created, I received a trigger ID, which I added to the ADDITIONAL CSS CLASS(ES) field under the advanced options when I selected the button. However, the mailerlite code for a button seems different focusing more on the html code of the button, which doesn’t trigger anything in any of the advanced option fields for the button. Most of the times the button simply becomes unclickable. And every time I try to edit the html code of the button directly I seem to break it, so I must be doing something wrong.

    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards,
    AJ

    Hi there,

so you cannot edit the HTML of a block in the editor, WP won’t allow it and it will just break…

So it does generally meant for these kinds of things you resort to a HTML block and Custom CSS.

But, does mailerlite provide any documentation regarding the button HTML ?

A few help pages, but they are all about normal html buttons, so I can use that HTML code to make a static button, but it doesn’t look as good/smooth as the GenerateBlock button that I created which forces me to dive into CSS possibilities (which I’m not familiar with so takes additional effort).

I can easily trigger the pop-up from the top page hook element, as that is a simple hyperlink. Just that button is an obstruction.

I’ll see if I can figure things out.

Alright, managed to recreate the button as it was with custom HTML code and CSS stuff. Pffff. Glad it is done and working. Thanks for the suggestions. Issue can be closed.
