Hi,
I built this website for a client https://bethanysart.com/ editing etc all worked as expected on my Windows 10 computer which is 15-months old.
I went round to show the user how to add new content etc.
On their Mac (2007) we could login and view WordPress but when it came to editing the pages – they were just blank – nothing to edit.
That was using the Opera browser.
I tried installing Google Chrome – but that came up that it could not be installed.
Same with Firefox.
Because of security issues.
Just to be totally sure is it likely that in 2022 that a Mac with an operating system from 2007 would fail to work with Generatepress?
Are there any minimum spec. requirements to run Generatepress?
Apple generally stops supporting OS updates on machines older than 7 years.
Which would mean the 15 year old mac is running an 8 – 10 year old OS.
And that OS won’t support the modern browsers that todays WordPress requires.
You may also want to check the Macs memory, as an admin screen in WordPress can eat up quite a few megabytes.
Ah yes, i work on a Late 2015 iMac, its as as good as the day it was shipped, the screen is amazing, its still faster then most of my other kit, and yet this year its too old to support the latest MacOS … go figure lol
